Original Audio Visual Editing

 6th September:

When planning I knew I wanted my 30 seconds of audio visual to be based around clothing in order to have examples of intertextuality and link it to a fan competition on the website. This is my first attempt at editing it. The animations will be repeated on other parts of the website and in the music video.

30th September:

A secondary option for my original audio visual. Two band members trying out different music tiktok trends

Video Editing

 5th September:

I began editing the music video on CapCut by ordering my shots for the intro. I will add transitions between cuts and possibly overlays (if not then overlays will feature in the main body of the video)

6th September:

I planned to start and end the video like a television switching on and off to reflect the lyrics referencing propaganda and television. At first I was unsure how to do this but I was able to create the affect after playing around with transitions and animations.

8th September:

I added more narrative clips and experimented with overlays on the performance clips. I am happy with how this came out.

9th September:

I have fully fleshed out what order I want all my clips to be in and now need to focus on transitions and animations. I added an opening for the song and experimented with more overlays to combine the narrative and performance clips.

13th September:

I added more rapid cutaways throughout the song and more camera movement/tracking shots.

19th September:

I tidied up the shots so the main track was all in order and I only had one layer of overlays. This will make it clearer for me when I add transitions between shots.

2nd October:

I changed the opening credits to match with the font and colour scheme used on my website.

4th October:

I started working on animations to decorate my music video, as well as linking in with the doodles on my website.

7th October:

More animations.

10th October:

More animations.

14th October:

More animations.

15th October:

More animations.

16th October:

More animations to emphasise what is being seen on the phone screens.

17th October:

More animations and transitions between clips. These transitions are based on television, such as a channel changing or signal cutting out, to keep in theme with the lyrics.

19th October:

Inserted new clips from additional filming of close ups of lip syncing & camera movement

20th October:

Animation to emphasise the intertextual reference to a clockwork orange which also deals with media and propaganda as a theme.

21st October:

More animations and text to emphasise important lyrics.

22nd October:

More animations and text to emphasise important lyrics.

1st November:

(add refilming + reordering)
